It is God's grace that we have an extremely talented choir group, which enhances our worship during Malayalam and English service, with a wide variety of songs from traditional hymns to the present day Maramon Convention songs. The Marthoma Church is very keen on having quality choirs in every parish. So, The Department of Sacred Music & Communications is entrusted with the task of helping parishes to maintain good choirs. The choir leads the congregation in singing during Sunday Holy Communion service each week, and on other special services.
Our choir is affiliated to the Department of Sacred Music & Communications (DSMC) of the Marthoma Church. Every year, new members are inducted into the choir after a voice test. At present, we have 30 members in our choir.
Choir practices are conducted every Saturday evening. Apart from leading the regular worship and Holy Communion Services, the choir assists all the activities of the parish such as Parish Day, Harvest Festival, Holy Matrimony service, competitions and similar events. The choir has been playing a vital role in conducting the Christmas Carol service in our parish.
Choir Masters Mr. Sarangh Jacob Thomas Mr.Brookes Daniel Vargheese Choir Secretary Ms. Dona Maria John Joint Secretary Ms. Rincy Thomas Choir Treasurer Mr. Lethin Joseph Dr.Sujit T Zachariah and Mr.Vineedh Mathew are leading the choir during English worship on every 4th Sunday.
Songs are accompanied by Keyboard, Electric Lead / Base Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Violin and Drums Kit. We have installed high quality audio equipments and LCD Projector for quality acoustics and visual output.
